Live Scan electronic fingerprints are used for criminal background checks for the Department of Justice for employment, licensing, certification, custodial child placement and adoption purposes.

Here is the link to the California Attorney General's website. You will need your ATI number found on your Live Scan Request form and your birthdate.
The results of the background will be sent to the applicant agency.
Either due to poor fingerprint quality or data entry error you will need to have your fingerprints submitted a second time. The rejection letter is required for the resubmission. Return to the original live scan provider in order to avoid paying an additional rolling fee.
